Found: A $625 Sweater for Folsom Street Fair Diehards
San Francisco has plenty of odd rituals. Bay to Breakers. SantaCon. Bring Your Own Big Wheel. But few of those draw as much eyebrow-raising from friends and family in your home state as the Folsom Street Fair. The world's biggest leather festival takes over SoMa each September, drawing fetish-loving visitors from around the world.
And it's not the only opportunity to play with whips and chains in public. There's also Up Your Alley on Dore in July, (which bills itself as "Folsom's Dirty Little Brother"), and the Leather Alley at Pride. Which is to say that if you're really down with the fetish scene, San Francisco is a good place to call home.
For festivals and bondage clubs, your party leather looks will do just fine, but for weekdays at your office or Wicked Grounds, you're probably looking for a more conservative way to show your fetish pride. Fortunately, Vetements and Comme des Garçons have you covered.
The two ultra-hip brands teamed up for a three-piece pride capsule knit collection featuring a rainbow sweater (for gay pride), a purple double-sided ax sweater (for lesbian pride), and a blue and black striped sweater with a red heart (for fetish pride). The sweaters are only available at Dover Street Market, and retail for $625 each.
The Folsom-esque sweater is almost sold out, but if you wear an XS and have a handful of Benjamins burning a hole in your wallet, you can grab yours here.
