Urban Air Market, the curated outdoor marketplace for sustainable design, returns to Hayes Valley on Sunday with more than 150 emerging designers (like Doodles.Ink, pictured above), live musicians and artists representing the Bay Area’s creative community.

In addition to the usual goods for sale, this installment of the event has some pretty stellar workshops.

  • For the plant-lovers out there, Blow Your Succs Off will be at booth M11 on Linden with modern succulent arrangement offerings, as well as a succulent pumpkin workshop to get your fall décor game off to a strong start. Workshops are $10 per person. Space is limited, so sign up in advance.

  • If you love scarves, but have no idea how to wear them, Nikki Marie will be hosting scarf styling tutorials with the purchase of any scarf. (Nikki Marie’s 100 percent silk scarves ring in between $50 and $95.)

  • Finally, Fractal Flora is guiding guests through the succulent terrarium-building process starting at $14 per person.

In addition to shopping independent artisans at the Market, make time to pop into Alternative (424 Hayes Street) where the store is holding a two-day basement sale. Deals include soft, sustainable basics for $5-$15.

As always, Urban Air Market is FREE to attend. The last hurrah of 2018 will Sunday, September 16 from 11 am–6 pm along Patricia’s Green Park on Octavia and Hayes Streets. If you choose to RSVP, you could even get a free tote bag designed by Studio Nico. (First-come, first-served, while supplies last.)
