How to Score Tickets for This Weekend's Women-Powered Pop-Up Market
We’re not going to pretend like your weekend schedule is empty. Between the Blue Angels air shows, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, and the sunny forecast, we’re looking at one of the best weekends of the year. Especially when you add in a trip to the city’s latest one-day pop-up: WOW Marketplace.
WOW—which stands for Works of Women—is a market for creative female makers and entrepreneurs. Alysha Cassis-Shaw, the vintage maven behind Neutral Ground, has assembled a group of badass ladies for a free afternoon shopping event at the Nob Hill escape you never knew you needed. There will be vintage from Neutral Ground, accessories and handbags from Kalu, Candid Art, and Unoeth, clothes from Lacson Ravello, art and ceramics by Anoushka, and vegan bites from Planted Foods.
The event is happening from 12-5 pm on Saturday, October 6 at Gal Collective’s Nob Hill Hideaway, 1250 Bush Street #2. While admission is free, you need a ticket to attend.
After months of seeking shelter indoors, it’s tempting to spend the next few days on a rooftop marveling at really loud planes, but there is such a thing as spending too much time drinking in the sun. Between the air show and the concerts, give yourself time to pop by WOW. You may even walk out with a costume change for the second half Saturday’s festivities.
