Squee! Barry's Is Opening Two More Locations Next Week
After months of obsessively checking the Barry’s website for workout schedules in the South Bay, we finally have opening dates for the new Barry’s Bootcamp locations in Palo Alto and Burlingame. And both are happening next week!
Barry’s Palo Alto (228 Stanford Shopping Center, adjacent to Pressed Juicery and across from Gap) is up first, welcoming clients for classes starting Wednesday, January 16. There are three classes—4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 pm—on opening day, and the team will be staffing additional classes starting Thursday, January 17.
The 4,500 sq. ft. Barry’s Palo Alto studio has capacity for 45 clients, including 22 treadmill spots. The location will offer 50 minute classes throughout the day, including early morning, mid-day and evening. If you’re one of those folks who believes that workouts don’t count unless you ‘gram ‘em, there will be two artsy Insta-spots in the Palo Alto studio with the motivational mantras “Join the Hustle” and “Hustle & Heart Will Set You Apart.”
Three days later, on Saturday, January 19, Barry’s Burlingame will unveil a 4,500 sq. ft. location at 1333 Howard Avenue. Reps for the company say the Burlingame studio will have capacity for 40 clients, including 21 treadmill spots.
Like all Barry’s locations, both Palo Alto and Burlingame have swanky locker rooms, a Fuel Bar, and a shop where you can outfit yourself from head to toe in Barry’s swag. Classes at Northern California locations are $35 for single sessions, with discounted rates available for multi-class packs.
Of the four new Barry’s studios we told you about last year, two are opening next week, and a third—in the Castro—will be ready any day now. If geography is the only thing keeping you away from “the best workout in the world,” 2019 will be the year you run out of excuses.
