San Francisco is not suffering from a gala shortage. Despite the Bay Area’s casual reputation, it’s relatively easy to find a black tie—or at least cocktail-attire—event in any given week. But, unless you have bottomless pockets, that means you also need to make some tough choices. Some of these events, while for worthy causes, are kinda boring. But the annual Red Cross Gala? There’s a party worth adding to your calendar.

The main event includes cocktails, dinner, and a live auction, but the after party is the highlight the night. And if your time or budget is limited, you can skip straight ahead to the live music, dancing, and revelry under the rotunda in City Hall.

After party-only tickets are available through February 10 at early bird pricing for $95. (Starting February 11, after party prices increase to $135.) The organization hasn’t announced this year’s performer and celebrity guest line-up yet, but last year’s gala included Steve Aoki playing an after party set in City Hall. So yeah, it can be pretty epic.

As of Thursday, February 7, there were about 200 after party tickets left. This event is known to sell out, so scamper over to the gala website to snag your ticket while you still can.
