The Alameda Point Antiques Faire, held the first Sunday of each month, is one of the best-known flea markets in the country, and an endless treasure trove for local tastemakers. That perfect chair or reclaimed library card catalog that your favorite blogger or designer posted on Insta that time? It probably came from the Alameda Flea.

For the dedicated fashion roundup, however, you need to go to the Alameda Point Vintage Fashion Faire.

The vintage fashion sale happens twice a year—in the spring and the fall—and the next installment is October 18-19 at Michaan’s Annex Auction (2701 Monarch Street in Alameda). Tickets for the opening party, available through Brown Paper Tickets, are $16.74 (including fees) in advance, or $20 (cash only) at the door. Friday tickets will get you a re-entry pass for Saturday. Saturday-only attendees can pay $5 cash at the door.

Shopping hours are 6 pm–10 pm Friday and 11 am–5 pm Saturday. Friday evening festivities include a cocktail party and fashion contest starting at 6 pm. Dress in your best vintage to match the theme, Roaring 2020s: The New Jazz Age, and enter the contest to win $100 to shop the show. There will also be live music from Blue Bone Express and cocktails poured by Stookey's Club Moderne.

In addition to hosting more than 70 vintage vendors with pieces from the 40s to 80s, the faire is a solid bet for dressing up and/or people watching. (When you bring a bunch of vintage obsessives together under one roof, you expect to see some lewks, right?) If you're on the hunt for true vintage for life, Halloween, or both, buy your tickets now.
