And Comfort Is Popping Up in Russian Hill Through August

For as much as San Francisco touts inclusivity and body positivity, it is shockingly hard to find plus-size clothes at brick and mortar stores in this city. There's a limited selection in Macy's, Target stocks its Ava and Viv line, Old Navy carries up to a size 20, Stonestown Galleria has Torrid, and Loft and Ann Taylor in Embarcadero Center have recently added plus to their assortment. In the grand scheme of hundreds of retailers servicing 800,000 SF residents, that handful simply can't get the job done.

A plus-size pop-up experience may not solve the problem, but it's certainly a welcome addition to the market. A homegrown plus-size brand hosting a pop-up? Even better. That's why we're thrilled that San Francisco-based online retailer And Comfort is hanging out in real life at Batch (1648 Pacific Avenue) through August 18 to showcase its luxe basics. (If you're new to And Comfort, the brand specializes in minimalist plus-size essentials made with premium natural fabrics in sizes 10-28.)

Stop by to try-on and shop the collection any day of the week; no appointment necessary. The pop-up is open inside Batch from 11am-7pm on weekdays and 10:30am-5pm on weekends. And if you want to see more plus-size shopping options in San Francisco, be sure to support the pop-up; these temporary shops have a way of becoming permanent when there's enough demand.
