Lip Lab Bites Into the Fillmore Beauty Scene

After a successful pop-up down the street, Bite Beauty has a new home in Pac Heights at 2132 Fillmore Street. 

The space, (formerly home to a florist), is now Lip Lab by Bite, a blending experience for people who want complete control over their lip color. The San Francisco location is Bite's third Lip Lab, following the brand's Toronto and New York shops.

What makes Lip Lab different from simply buying your favorite shade of lipstick? At Bite, you can make a custom lipstick by choosing (1) a shade from more than 200 color options, (2) your finish—glossy sheer, matte creme, or amuse bouche, and (3) your scent. (There are nine options.) A Lip Lab artist will mix your picks to create a lipstick just for you. Lipsticks are $55 for one, or $80 for two. The full process takes about 15 minutes.

Want even more customization? Try the bespoke experience for $150. A staffer will blend colors to create two shades that are perfect for you, complete with your preferred finished and scent. (You'll also receive an exclusive Lip Lab kit with your purchase.)
