Mark Your Calendar for Freda Salvador's July Sample Sales
Freda Salvador is hosting three, count 'em three sample sales this month, starting with a blowout down south for our friends in LA.
The deals kick off Saturday, July 8 from 10 am–5 pm in SoCal (3520 Council Street, Suite C in Los Angeles). Next up, the Freda Girls return to the Bay Area on Saturday, July 15 (1 Fort Mason in San Francisco) from 10 am–4 pm. If you still have money left, there will be one final opportunity to score shoe deals on Thursday, July 20 from 10 am–4 pm with a third sale at Freda HQ (80 Liberty Ship Way, Unit 6 in Sausalito).
Now for a few tips, in case you've never weathered the Freda Sale Storm™.
In the past, prices have been in the $110–$180 range. Flats and sandals are cheapest, heels are a little more, and boots are most expensive. The price list will be posted around the sale. Merchandise will probably be organized on tables by size, and the 7s and 8s go first. Freda fans don't play around when it comes to a sale, so plan to queue up insanely early if you want first pick. That could be as early as 6 or 7 am.
For Bay Area shoppers, note that 1 Fort Mason is the General's Residence, (off Franklin), not the Fort Mason Center location where the brand held its sale a few years ago.
If you're planning to try the Sausalito finale sale, parking around the Freda office is dicey; most of the spaces are permit parking only. If you can't find an open-parking zone, consider leaving a note with your phone number on your car. I've visited the studio (and parked without a permit) multiple times, but it is a risk.
And if you think you're just going to hang with your friend/look around, stop kidding yourself. I've covered the Freda sales for years, and I have yet to see shoppers leave empty-handed.
