Gal Meets Glam blogger Julia Engel may have traded San Francisco for Charleston, but the Bay Area is still near the uber-influencer's heart.

If you follow Engel's blog (or Instagram), you know that the California-turned-Southern girl is launching her Gal Meets Glam dress collection this week, both at Nordstrom and online at shop.galmeetsglam.com. (Fun fact: SF-turned-LA photographer Jen Kay was the Art Director for the first GMG Collection shoot.) The collection will be available at three Bay Area Nordstrom stores—Westfield San Francisco Centre, San Jose Valley Fair, and Broadway Plaza—on Friday, April 20.

Engel is making appearances at three Nordstrom locations this spring to promote the line, and her first stop is Walnut Creek on Thursday, April 26. (The other two events are in Dallas and Chicago.) While the main event is open to the public, Engel is also hosting a private VIP meet-and-greet for the first Bay Area customers to support GMG Collection at Nordstrom. To get on the list, be one of the first 20 customers to make an in-store GMG purchase on April 20th at the Broadway Plaza Nordstrom, or one of the first 10 shoppers to make an in-store GMG purchase at San Francisco Centre Nordstrom.

So far, the daily previews Engel has been posting of the collection look good. Influencer design projects can be a mixed bag, but Julia has done a stellar job distilling her feminine, classic style into an approachable collection that bloggers and non-bloggers alike can wear. The collection will be available in Sizes 00 through 20, priced between $130 and $200.
