Glossier Is Bunking With Rhea's Café, Saving on Rent in the Mission
Maybe the rent is still too damn high in San Francisco, or maybe cult-beauty fave Glossier knows a good hybrid marketing opportunity when it sees it. (This is, after all, a brand that partnered with makeup artists to slather A-listers with new products before the Oscars.) Regardless of the reasoning, Glossier is setting up shop—albeit temporarily—at Rhea's Cafe in the Mission.
The Chronicle reports the Glossier pop-up will open at Rhea's (2200 Bryant Street) on Wednesday, March 14 at 11 a.m., and continue into April. Rhea's is getting a mini-makeover for the installation, including a new color palette—wanna bet it's millennial pink?—and furniture.
Glossier hours are 11 am–8 pm daily during the pop-up, while Rhea's Cafe will be serving its famous fare from 11 am–3 pm Monday through Friday, and 11 am-2 pm Saturday and Sunday. Drinking hours are 5-8 pm daily.
For anyone who's ever suggested that makeovers and sammies don't mix, here's proof that you just weren't dreaming big enough. Boybrow and buttermilk fried chicken all under one roof? What a time to be alive.
