News flash: Thanksgiving is next week. As in, less than seven days away. How did that happen? And how late is too late to buy new dishes for that dinner you're hosting?

Whether you need plates or serving platters or you're just looking for holiday gifts, the Heath Ceramics Annual Sale is one of those events you don't want to miss. Almost everything in the store will be 20 percent off. Tile (except overstock in Sausalito), rugs, special order items, Stan Bitters planters and pendants, Concreteworks planters, holiday items, and online purchases for Virtual Registries are excluded.

In addition to snagging Heath's famous ceramics 20 percent off, this is an opportunity to score discounts on lots of small maker items that rarely go on sale. That includes things like Aplat totes, Jacob May cutting boards, and Røros Tweed pillows and blankets. Pro tip: go in with a budget or risk going crazy with your credit card.

The sale starts Friday, November 17 and continues through Sunday, November 19 at both the Heath Factory and Showroom in the Mission (2900 18th Street) and in Sausalito (400 Gate 5 Road). Hours are 10 am-6 pm Friday and Saturday, and 11 am–6 pm Sunday. There will also be tours and activities for all you Heath superfans, so be sure to check out the full schedule of events here.
