Hooptopia Is a Selfie-Loving Warriors Fan Fever Dream

Blame it on Color Factory. Or maybe we blame Color Factory on Museum of Ice Cream? No matter which experience you choose to hold accountable, the $30+ selfie station “museum” is part of our culture now; who are we to argue with it? San Franciscans have flocked to 29Rooms, That Lady Thing, and Candytopia, and now we can know the thrill of sportball selfies with Hooptopia.

Billed as a place “where you can live the life of a Warrior,” Hooptopia includes all the elements of our NBA hometown heroes daily lives. We’re talking confetti rooms, slam dunk harnesses, and a ball pit—because you can’t immerse yourself in an experience without immersing yourself in a ball pit.

A collaboration between the Golden State Warriors and Candytopia, Hooptopia promises to “test your skills in the Combine Challenge,” share the joy of being drafted into the NBA, douse you in a confetti shower, give you the team jet treatment, and let you fly 40-feet through the air to dunk like an All-Star. (Dunkers must be at least 4-feet tall for that 40-foot harness ride.)

Hooptopia is located in Thrive City, adjacent to the Chase Center, so you can easily commit to a full day of Warriors fandom if you want to pop in before a game. Tickets, available online, are $27 for kids 4-12, and $36 for guests 13 and older.

Don your blue and gold, and get ready to live like Steph & Co.
