European bath and body brand Rituals is opening its second Bay Area store in Walnut Creek on Wednesday, November 14, and giving away goodies to earlybirds who show up to celebrate at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Rituals, a brand inspired by ancient Eastern traditions, encourages customers to slow down and find moments of meditation in everyday activities.  Products from the company—ranging from skin and body care, to cosmetics and home fragrance—reflect that philosophy with themes like, “Ritual of Hammam,” “Ritual of Yalda,” and “Ritual of Dao.” While the brand has had locations through New York City for the better part of a decade, the Walnut Creek shop will be the fourth dedicated store on the West Coast and the second in Northern California. There’s also a location in Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara.

The newest outpost is on the first level of the Broadway Plaza shopping center, next to Neiman Marcus. The official ribbon cutting is at 10am on November 14, and the first 100 visitors will receive a free foaming shower gel, plus a $10-off voucher toward a Rituals purchase.

Can’t make it for the ribbon-cutting? You can still get a full size foaming shower gel of your choice for just $5 (retail value: $15) all day Wednesday at the Broadway Plaza location only. Thursday, November 15 through Saturday, November 17, the store will also be offering gift-card giveaways, ranging from $5-$100 to the first 50 visitors to the store.
