Learn How to Care for Your Clothes at The Laundress Workshop
Several years ago, I lost my favorite Helmut Lang t-shirt to a Bi-Rite ice cream drip. I wish I could say I regret nothing, but that would be a lie: As much as I love Bi-Rite ice cream, I loved that t-shirt more. I treated the stain. I washed it. I took it to the dry cleaner. No luck. I've held on to the shirt, thinking that one day I'll take it to someone who can use it as a pattern to make me an entire closet of perfect, silk-blend shirts. For now, it just taunts me, and reminds me that I need to do a better job taking care of my favorite clothes.
Which brings me to the most excellent news that Hero Shop is hosting a DIY laundry workshop with The Laundress on Saturday, September 30. From 11 am to 4 pm, stop by the store (982 Post Street) for a crash course in properly washing your clothes and treating stains. Show up armed with questions and walk away with answers...and probably a few new Laundress products.
