The RealReal Opens a Real Life Shop in SF. For a Little While, at Least
Are you sitting down? Because luxury consignment website The RealReal is opening a San Francisco pop-up shop at 222 Stockton Street in Union Square today. And it’s here for two months!
The brick-and-mortar shop will be selling one-of-a-kind-luxury items, including women’s and men’s fashion, fine jewelry, watches, home furnishings, decor, and art. Looking to sell instead of buy? The pop-up will also be accepting consignment drop-offs.
This isn’t TRR’s first experiment in real world shopping: the SF-based brand already has a flagship store in Soho, but TRR CEO and founder Julie Wainwright says the pop-up is a way for the company to test the luxury consignment market in the Bay Area. “We are always looking for new ways to offer our customers and consignors access to our experts on a personal level and our SF pop-up shop is another strategic move for us in that direction.”
A rep for the company says shoppers can expect a “curated selection of everything from Birkin handbags and holiday dresses to a wall of the most sought after sneakers of the moment.” (So all the things that make San Franciscans’ hearts flutter. I see you, TRR.) The RealReal’s staff of gemologists, art curators and authentication specialists will also be on hand to answer questions and provide one-on-one service.
TRR pop-up in San Francisco is open Monday–Saturday from 10 am–7 pm and Sunday from 12 pm–6 pm.
