Urban Air Market Swings Through Oakland for a Holiday Bonanza
Urban Air Market, the curated marketplace for sustainable design, is returning to the Bay Area this weekend with a final 2017 pop-up in Oakland. What's that you say? You're still working on your holiday shopping? That's great news because these makers want to sell you things.
The event will showcase more than 100 independent designers of fashion, accessories, body products, home decor, furniture and art, so there's practically something for everyone. Featured designers are selected based on their quality, originality, and commitment to innovation and sustainability.
The market runs from 11 am–6 pm in Jack London Square (55 Harrison in Oakland), and will include a patio bar and blogger lounge hosted by Remake and a photo booth for your holiday cards by Say Ya Photo Booth.
While you're there, be sure to check out Bay Area native (and current LA resident) Ashley Denisov and her line 1x1. I stumbled upon Denisov's on a recent trip to Los Angeles, and her sustainable knits are both beautifully made and super-flattering. Denisov's line isn't carried in Bay Area stores at the moment, so this is your best chance to try it IRL and stock up.
