Parisian fragrance brand Diptyque expanded its NorCal footprint over the weekend with a new boutique at Westfield Valley Fair. According to a rep for the brand, “the new store location pays homage to the original 34 Boulevard Saint Germain boutique in Paris, complete with black wood, brass accents and antic mirrors.” In other words, like every other Diptyque store, it’s really, really pretty.

Because it’s Diptyque, it smells like heaven, too.

If you find yourself wandering into the store, (Level 1 in the mall at 2855 Stevens Creek Boulevard in Santa Clara), without a plan for what to purchase, there’s “a dedicated wall influenced by a Parisian-styled mood board” that features gift ideas, scent pairings, personalization offerings, limited-edition collections, and more. The focal point of the boutique is a wooden table installation that showcases Diptyque’s signature “perfume discovery ritual” and serves as an homage to the maison’s history as an artist and perfumer.

The store’s soft opening was last weekend, but they’ll be celebrating in true Parisian style September 21-22 with celebratory cocktails. Go buy yourself something fancy, and enjoy a drink while you’re at it. Or, if you’re a fan of Diptyque’s famed city fragrances, you can rush over before closing time today, September 16. It’s the last day of the year that city candles are available.
