Everlane's Brand New Store in the Mission Opens March 3
After two years in its temporary "Lab" on Folsom Street, Everlane has moved into a permanent storefront in the Mission at 461 Valencia Street. The space is drenched in natural light—thanks to a dozen new skylights—and brimming with the latest finds and greatest hits from everyone's favorite "radically transparent" retailer. That Megan Markle leather tote that's been sold out for ages? The new store has three!
Beyond the merchandise, the San Francisco store benefits from the findings of its slightly-older New York sister showroom. For example, an Everlane rep tells Rockyt that the brand learned that customers wanted an easier return experience, so the Mission shop has a dedicated returns bar. (Brilliant, right?) There's also an Integrated I.D. check out system for walletless shopping.
Despite its expansion into brick and mortar sales, Everlane remains a digital-first brand dedicated to transparency. With that in mind, the store features a rotating installation dedicated to telling Everlane’s factory stories. In the middle of the store, there are listening stations to highlight the sounds of the tee-shirt, shoe, and denim factories the brand partners with, allowing customers to hear to the sounds of Everlane products being made and learn more about the process.
Grand opening festivities start this weekend with opening day on March 3. Everlane is partnering with local faves like Trick Dog and BiRite to bring you delicious tipples and treats throughout the weekend, and donating $5 from the sale of each 100% SF product to Dolores Street Community Services. Stop in, shop, and welcome the beloved SF brand to its new home.
