Whether it's a wedding ring or a family heirloom, you probably have a ring that you treasure. And whether it's at the gym, the nail salon, or the spa, there are times when you have to take that ring off. It can be hard to part with your baubles—especially when you're newly engaged—but Bay Area jewelry designer Emily Crittenden has created a solution that's way safer than leaving your ring in a locker or a pocket.

Emily C. ring holder necklaces, ($195-$2400), allow you to secure your ring around your neck with a variety of designs that you can wear as normal necklaces. When it comes time to remove your ring, you simply loop it onto the clever pendant. (Check it out, in action, below.)

While Emily C. advises against hard tugging on her necklaces, or wearing the necklaces for intense sporting activities like surfing, the chains are designed to be strong and durable.

Emily C. currently offers eight ringholder necklace styles, and each is available in sterling silver, white gold, yellow gold, or rose gold. (Price points for the gold options hover around $985 each.) If you're really loving the sparkle, you can even purchase a gold and diamond version for $2400.
