Get Ready To Throw Hands in the Marina This Weekend
After two years of talking about the redevelopment of the former Real Food Company space at the corner of Fillmore and Filbert, the long-promised Rumble Boxing location in the Marina (3060 Fillmore Street) will finally open its doors this weekend.
“A fitness studio? In the Marina? How novel!” you say. True, the Marina/Cow Hollow area is saturated with fitness options—SoulCycle, Barry’s, BodyRok, CorePower Yoga, and more—but Rumble will finally bring boxing into the fray. And its proximity to really solid post-workout eats shouldn’t be overlooked.
The 60-spot studio is sharing real estate with the newly opened Shake Shack—the first one in San Francisco—and Chef Michael Mina’s health-focused venture, Indie Superette. We had the chance to check out both spots in the last week—do yourself a favor and try the Indie Bowl at Indie Superette—and they couldn’t be more convenient to the new Rumble. It’s an ideal location to get your sweat on before grabbing a shower and joining your friends for lunch al fresco.
Class signups are already live at doyourumble.com, and there are a few spots left for opening weekend. The regular class schedule at Rumble Marina will start at 6 am on weekdays and wrap by 8:15 pm. The studio is only five blocks from Rumble Training, so you can even swing a double when you’re feeling sassy.
