After four years on Fillmore street, Superga SF will be shutting its doors on February 1. Owner Claudia Volpi announced the closure in a Facebook post this week, saying “My family put everything into this venture and learned so much. We are happy to have brought this brand to California and to have met so many wonderful people at our store. Thank you all for supporting us! Now help us find a home for the shoes, come shop!”

In its final weeks in business, Superga SF is offering steep discounts on remaining inventory. Low tops will be $45, platform sneakers will be $50, high tops will be $40, kids sneakers will be $30 and kids sandals will be $20.

Other than losing a local outpost for sneaker styles that weren’t available anywhere else in the US—Volpi dealt directly with the Superga mothership in Italy to get many of her designs—the neighborhood is also losing a real community partner. Superga SF frequently hosted pop-ups and events for brands and artists looking to reach a broader audience.

Stop in to say goodbye and stock up one last time. Spring and summer breaks are looming, and you’ll be glad you’ll be glad to have your trusty kicks along for those trips.
