Stock Up on Insanely Wearable Clothes at The Podolls Closing Sale
For months, there have been hints that The Podolls would be vacating their storefront in Noe Valley, (3985 24th Street), but the end is officially nigh. Both the 24th Street store and the company are closing at the end of June.
In a letter to their customers, Lauren and Josh Podoll announced they're shuttering their business after 15 years, and clearing out their archive and store fixtures. Their Spring/Summer 2018 collection is their last.
"We have proudly built and operated our small family business for all these years because of our passion for creating beautiful, wearable garments... We believe in local manufacturing and utilizing natural, artisanal fibers but the fact is, this way of making clothing is extremely expensive. That compounded with high cost of living in the Bay Area and the fierce competition in this industry have made it nearly impossible to support our family while pursuing this dream," they wrote.
Everything in the store is 40 to 60 percent off, and you can score discounts on what's left online with the code SUMSALE. (Note: women's clothing is sold out online, but there are still baby and kid pieces available.) Archive pieces in the store are $25, $50, and $75. Stop, buy, and say goodbye to this lovely creative couple. And if you want to support the next phase of Podolls designs, check out Josh's woodworking business.
