Hey, Fellas! Shop Suitsupply's Online Outlet Before It Officially Opens

A co-worker introduced me to Suitsupply years ago when my husband was shopping for a new tuxedo. As she explained it, Suitsupply is a Dutch suiting brand that makes well-cut suits that cost a little more than Banana Republic, but look way more expensive. I stand by her description.

After visiting the Soho outpost in 2013, I started pestering the lovely PR team about their plans to expand to San Francisco. We exchanged emails for three years—I'm not kidding—before Suitsupply's SF shop at 175 Maiden Lane finally opened.

If you've never been inside Suitsupply, I highly recommend going. The space has a modern, Lichtenstein-lithograph-come-to-life feel, and the staffers are wonderful. But, for the moment, I'm focused on the company's new online outlet. The site officially launches on Wednesday, January 18, but—thanks to my three-year email relationship with the PR team—I received an early access code: FIRSTACCESS.

Suitsupply prices typically run from about $500-$1000 for suits, $350-$500 for blazers, and $500-$700 for outerwear. While scrolling through the online outlet, I spotted suits in the $200-$400 range, blazers as low as $160, and outerwear topping out around $350. While I don't believe in buying sale pieces simply because they're on sale, there are some really great deals if you fall for a particular item. Shop carefully, because outlet items are final sale.

New to Suitsupply? Run over to Maiden Lane on your lunch break or after work to check your size. The store is open from 10am–8pm today. Just complete your purchase before midnight because I expect the best pieces to sell out quickly tomorrow.
